I watched this film years ago, and at the time it seemed like one of the best films I'd ever seen. The other day, I was reminded of it, and so managed to locate it and watch it with Husband. It's still a very good film, though I'm not sure I'd put it up there with my top five.
Drunken bounty hunter who still feels terrible for not being able to save his wife when she drowned treks off into the mountains for one final adventure. While there, he sees things he can't explain, and finds that the people he is hunting have been killed. He enlists the help of a (sexy, female) professor, and the inevitable romantic subplot occurs.
It is quite a lovely film.
